PAULINE HUYNH

Sometimes I wish I had someone to talk to

Someone I can really talk to. Someone I’m not afraid to bawl around and let the snot run down my nose as my eyes redden and swell from the onslaught of tears. Someone who I trust won’t judge me.

Because right now,

that person isn’t my mom
that person isn’t my dad
that person isn’t my brother
that person isn’t my aunt
that person isn’t my best friend
that person isn’t my ex-boyfriend/best friend
that person isn’t my favorite teacher
that person isn’t my school psychologist

that person isn’t even me.

And right now, it seems that like such a person doesn’t exist.

I am so tired. Tired of crying. Tired of arguing. Tired to trying to explain my reasons and feelings toward a school. Tired of hearing each and every one of my arguments being refuted with “that’s not a good reason.”
