Earrings/Polymer Clay Aftermath

What I learned:

  • Tempera paint chips off really quickly and easily if I don’t seal it as soon as it dries.
  • I should seal each of the parts individually before assembling the earring. That way, the parts won’t stick together awkwardly (and peel off the paint). *cough cherry earrings cough*
  • If I paint tempera paint on raw clay, wait for it to dry, and then apply liquid clay (TLS), the paint will “set” into the clay, and I won’t have to worry about chipping! Definitely going to try this next week.
  • I should probably consider selling on Etsy. I might be able to raise prices there because everything is…super expensive. It’s pretty flexible, and I can determine my own store policies. The only thing is that I’ll need PayPal…which means I’ll have to ask dad for help.
  • People might be willing to buy other things, like charms too. Though it hasn’t exactly worked out in the past, it might work out if I do a pre-order type thing.
  • Some people are actually willing to buy my stuff LOL SUCCESS.

Dreams do come true.

Previous Next I’m heading off to Kaiser Permanente Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery in Oakland! I’m stunned and beyond thrilled. I absolutely loved my interview day

Decisions, decisions.

With my cycle “officially” over (i.e., assuming no further correspondence from the schools who waitlisted me), it’s time to figure out where I’m heading for

A lot is happening

And I am terrified. Just…breathe in. Breathe out. One day at a time. Some quotes to get me through: Courage is the greatest of all
